Worthless Credit Scores

21 Feb

FICO may not be the holy grail you have made it out to be. Wealthy people care about income and assets – not about credit and debt. Your credit score may actually be worthless to you.

So why does the average consumer worry so much about his credit rating? Brainwashing.

Credit. Buy things you don’t need with money you don’t have. Sounds like a country I know.

5 reasons why your FICO score is a false idol:

1. Credit Score Does Not Pay Bills.

If you have income to cover your bills, what do you need credit for. If you don’t have enough money to buy gas, to pay for groceries, or to handle life’s expenses, you have much bigger problems than a fluctuating number determined by a computer algorithm.

2. Out of Your Control.

You can spend thousands of dollars trying to protect your credit score – often to no avail.

Not all bills are created equal. The credit score might improve if you pay certain bills on time, such as a POTS line phone (Plain Old Telephone Service – it’s a real term), mortgage, gas, electric, and other utilities. But let your debt-to-credit ratio get too high on your credit cards and you can get slammed no matter how current your payments are.

3. Inaccurate.

Credit bureaus are not human, but boy can they make mistakes. And usually not in your favor.

Your income does not raise or lower your score. How can that be? Remember, your credit score only cares about your payment history and debt-to-credit ratio. Nothing more.

4. Too Much Debt.

Without a high credit score, it’s almost impossible to take on too much debt. If you cover your bills each month and live within your means, you don’t need credit anyway.

If you have a high credit scores, banks will flood your mailbox with offers to give you more credit.

Lose your job, suffer an illness, or don’t pay on time, and you will wonder how the word easy was ever attached to credit.

5. No FICO at Your Wake.

Death and taxes are inevitable. You can’t successfully avoid either. On the other hand, your credit score is left at the graveside.

Living a prosperous and wealthy life is a desire of most humans. I don’t mean just spiritual wealth, but real dollars. No man or woman can live to the fullest without money. Having a debt master will surely burden your life.

Eat real food. Drink fine wine. Make love to your wife before the sun comes up.

And live within your means.

Don’t lose sleep or thousands of dollars protecting your credit.

Considering Solar PV Training In The UK

21 Feb

It is by using natural resources such as tidal or wind energy – collectively known as ‘Green Energy’ – that we could meet our daily energy needs. They’re all considered naturally able to replenish – and thereby ‘Green’. It is easy to think that we may be travelling back in time when we think of items such as wind power and windmills. Generally, this is the result of using up to date ideas, specifically those that are planet friendly and eco-efficient.

The home environment, for example, encompasses a range of energy ideas – including Solar Thermal and Solar Water Heating solutions. Equally there is electricity that is generated through roof-installed panels. Biomass Energy is the next phase, and this involves Fuel, Pellets, Stoves and Boilers burning Wood. What shouldn’t be forgotten is the heat stored in the ground from the Sun – often simply referred to as Ground Source Heat Pumps. Not all ‘Green Energy’ is new – by considering Wind Power and Hydropower we are looking at some of the oldest forms of energy production.

Thermal Energy Systems: By using different technologies, Solar Energy is effectively made up of two types of solar panels. Making hot water from solar energy is the first stage – and is known as Solar Water Heating Collection. Then we have the work of the Photovoltaic Heat Collectors, often called Solar Electrical Panels – which transform solar radiation into electricity. Across the board, Solar Panels should be mounted on a south facing roof, at an angle of 30 degrees away from horizontal – and to some extent away from blocking trees, surrounding buildings and chimneys.

Within this discipline, Solar Water Power is often regarded as the most popular form of Solar Energy within the UK. These systems are very efficient – and can deliver 50 percent of a household’s hot water requirement annually. The typical cost for installation ranges from 500-1500 pounds for a DIY system, all the way through to 2-5k for a professional fit.

Biomass Energy Systems – This is a general term for all forms of plant and animal material e.g. wood, straw, poultry litter and ‘energy crops’. It is by using these materials in new ways to create energy that makes it so exciting. It is a useful point to make that the UK is one of the major producers of Biomass fuels within Europe. It is the minimal C02 produced, alongside the actual energy production, that makes this attractive to the markets. Having a tree planted in place of another (that is felled for energy production) helps overall.

A process called Short Rotation Coppice (SRC), utilising trees such as Willow and Poplar, is used to meet the demands of such ‘Energy Crops’. Dry matter is also very sought after – and perennial grasses are a good source of this. Within this process also sits the lesser known Agricultural and Municipal Wastes. Agricultural Waste is commonly formed as a by-product of traditional agricultural work. Of equal importance is Municipal Waste, which comes from recycyled wood and food.

Geo-Thermal Energy: Basically this is the warming of the Earth from the Sun – and is often used in the manufacture of warm water and electricity. By using the ground source temperature of approximately 12 degrees, we can either heat or cool buildings within the UK. With four units replaced for every one unit of energy used, these heat pumps are very effective. Utilising the energy generated from wind turbines and solar electrical panels alongside heat source pumps, can make them alomst 100 percent renewable.

Wind Energy: The use of wind as a source of energy has been going on for thousands of years, especially in milling grain and pumping water. However, in more recent times there’s been the option to recover the energy for its own sake – and deliver this either to a home unit or to the local power grid. The UK is considered as one of the best sources of wind generation within Europe. It is interesting to note that whilst we can produce 10 percent of our entire power requirement from wind power, at present we only produce 1 percent. Instead of producing electricity at a rate of 2-10p per kWh, we could be generating at 2p per kWh. From this, the estimation of the cost recovery period is around 6-9 months overall.

Within the UK, Hydropower suits the energy generation model. Just like a thousand years ago, we are utilising the energy from water. Interestingly enough, this type of energy production meets around 2 percent of the UK electrical total demand.

By using a turbine, a Hydropower system can transfer the kinetic energy of moving water into another form. By using a dam or a natural river drop, these turbines do not require water storage. ‘Micro-Hydro’ however, uses the dam and sluice systems that have been made redundant by the larger national distributions. Although a lesser known form of electricity output, this process could supply 200mW of UK demand. A micro-hydro system like this would be expected to cost between 200 and 3,000 pounds per kW of the energy.

‘Green Energy’ is growing – mainly due to the demands of the Western World. That said, the UK is well placed – especially in the domestic sector – to take full advantage of the items above.

Once again, it is the Electrician and Plumbing trades that are set to capitalise on the domestic installation process. Grants and financial aid is also set to increase within the EEC and the UK – as ‘Green Energy’ gets ever higher status. As a new industry, there are a range of new certificates to gain. To cover both ends, you could consider electrical or plumbing training along with green systems.

The Responsibilities Of An Undertaker In A Funeral Service

20 Feb

Undertakers, who are also known as funeral directors, are people who are next in importance to the family of the deceased and the clergy when it is about funeral services. These individuals are responsible for arranging the entire funeral, taking care of all the related issues also. The job of undertakers is such that they have to be ready anytime of the day and on any day in the year.

Lots of decisions have to be taken in the event of a person’s death, which the bereaved family may fail to take because of the sudden catastrophe that befalls them. This is where the undertaker enters the scene and takes over. He takes fast and sound decisions about the time, location and kind of the funeral service. In Addition, the undertaker helps you in coming to terms with your loss, as he is by your side and plans the entire funeral, enabling you to show your profound love and respect for the deceased person.

Preparation of a funeral service begins with deciding upon its time, place and date and then informing the same to family and friends. After this has been finalised, the undertaker makes arrangements for shifting the body to the funeral site or where it is to be laid to rest. If a burial service needs to be carried out, then the undertaker also helps in choosing a suitable coffin for the deceased.

In Addition to this, the undertaker also helps in planning the funeral service, including choosing florists, flowers, church, making arrangements for for transit facilities, food, clergy, music, hymns, headstone and ashes. All arrangements are made by the undertaker after discussing it with the family to make sure that the deceased is truly treated with regard.

Last but not the least, some undertakers even help you in getting the dead from other places, embalming the body and can also help in conducting the funeral service in another country, depending on your need.

Spiritually Significant Aspects Of Buddhist Funerals

20 Feb

In a Buddhist funeral, the followers of the religion believe in carrying out detailed rites and ceremonies during the funeral service. The funeral service, according to Buddhism, symbolizes the liberation of the deceased person’s soul, which was trapped in the mundane world of existence, and its quest for a new life after death.

In a typical Buddhist funeral, the body of the departed is cremated and Buddhist monks in the presence of the bereaved family carry out the funeral rites. When a person has died, Buddhist monks read verses from scriptures to allow the good energies to be set free from the soul. Meanwhile, the body is prepared and preserved so that even if the cremation happens after few days of the death, the body doesn’t decompose. Once the body is bathed, it is put along with candlesticks, bouquets and incense in a casket along with a photograph of the deceased person.

If the funeral is delayed by some days for distant relatives to get a last look, the monks go to the dead person’s residence everyday and recite verses from the Abhidharma, an important Buddhist book.

The monks complete the last rites on the funeral day and the head monk gives a speech mentioning the noble deeds and actions done by the deceased and comforting the bereaved family members and friends. During the final religious chanting and ceremony, the coffin is wrapped in white cloth and a ritual of passing on blessings and good energies to the soul of the deceased, referred to as ‘Pansakula’ is done.

Prior to cremation, a family member or the nearest kin is requested to make a brief speech about the deceased. The Buddhist funeral services conclude with a light feast for the attendees after the funeral.

Although some modifications in rituals can be found, these are the broad ritualistic procedures carried out during funeral ceremonies by followers in Thailand, Tibet, China and many other countries, where a large number of Buddhists reside.

Tips On Knowing Your Customer

20 Feb

Running a business can be difficult. Sometimes it is necessary to call upon a debt collection agency for assistance collecting money that is owed. However, if businesses take a plan of prevention, they may not need to use the help of a third party collections agency. Knowing the client or customer can be extremely useful for filtering out potential problems.

First, a business should find out the full legal name of the company that it plans to do business with. The business structure should be known. Is it a corporation or a partnership? The names, addresses and titles of the principal members should be collected.

It is crucial to determine the federal employer tax identification number. The ship to address, telephone number, name, fax number and email address of the main contact should be known as well. In addition, the bill to address, fax number and telephone number of the accounts payable contact is a good piece of information to know. Individuals who are authorized to submit orders should be listed.

Inquire about the bank references. What is the name of the bank? The branch address, fax and telephone numbers, account types, account numbers and dates opened can be useful information. The name of the bank representative should be collected also.

Finally, the conditions and terms of sale should be acknowledged and accepted by the customer’s signature. The client’s signature, printed name, date of signing and title should be collected, and always have the company’s attorney look over any documents before use.

Be aware of the customer’s credit history and keep decent communication through phone calls or personal visits. Keep an up to date delivery of goods and services, and up to date records and accounts receivable information. Mail out memos and letters to remind the client about the money owed and keep them up to date.

Join an industry credit group and participate actively. It is crucial to know the laws in the state that the company is in regarding collections and business proposals. To protect the company, it is crucial to collect references. Bank references, including the bank name, branch, account type, account number and trade references are important to know. Collect three trade references at least that include the name, address, telephone number and email addresses.

It is a difficult balance to achieve and the photographer needs much experience to be able to do it right.

Every venue offers its own exclusive characteristics and backdrop for bridal photography. Some people prefer a traditional ritualistic marriage in the church or other places of worship, while others may want to go for something much more modern. Houses of worship, with their impressive architecture, can form an excellent thematic background for bridal photography.

However, it is difficult to use the interiors of most venues for bridal photography. In such a scenario, a scenic outdoor site near the venue can be selected as a spot for bridal photography. In fact, as wedding photographers have a great deal of knowledge about these matters; it may help if you just make the photographer accompany you while scouting for a venue.

Selecting the venue, even though most critical, is just one of the several considerations you must keep in mind to get the ideal wedding and bridal photographs. Connection: The Secret To Happiness

19 Feb

Why are we living? What have we come here for? Every day we hear questions about the aim and purpose of our lives. And most of us continuously search for answers. How can we find happiness? That is one more question forcing us to search for its answer every day. What if the answer to those questions is straightforward? What if all those questions are just about ONE thing? Relationship. The secret of happiness is elucidated in the clear and inspiring voice of Masami Sato in the following excerpt of her book, ONE.

What are we trying to find out?

There are so many things that we carry out in our lives.

But have we ever thought about why we do what we do? What are we really looking for?

The world throngs with millions of people of all races, religions, and belief systems, doing myriad things. People look different from each other and behave differently. We have widely varying interests and outlook on life. We communicate in different ways, because we use different languages. We have different hopes and emotions.

Nevertheless, if there was ONE thing that ALL of us are searching for, what could that be?

As I travelled around the world, I often asked people a simple question, “What would you like to achieve in your life? What do you really want?”

In the beginning it appeared that different people were looking for different things. People said different things like “A house of my own”, “A good job”, “A perfect partner”, “A soul mate”, “A little more money”, “An affectionate family”, “Freedom”, “Peace of mind”, “A purpose to life” etc. There were many answers of this type.

I actually noticed that some of these things are temporal desires and some are more permanent desires. Temporal desire means we want it because we do not have it yet or we don’t think we have it yet. On the other hand, permanent desire is not about attaining things we do not have. It is about the ‘feeling’ we seek so this does not end no matter what we get or achieve at each moment of our life.

If we take off the temporal desires from the list and look only at the permanent desires, it is clear that all we want is to continue experiencing positive feelings like exhilaration, enjoyment, encouragement, motivation, kindness, love, happiness etc. – in another way, we want to remain happy.

Happiness

Delightfulness is a state of emotion that every one us are longing to experience. Every one of us may define it in a different way. We may even evaluate it differently. We may sense it at varied levels of intensity. But without doubt, we have something in general when delightfulness comes to us. And when we understand this secret about delightfulness, we hold the knowledge to become more delighted, and to make others around us too feel the same sensations.

This life, that we live, is a mystery. All of us like it in our own different ways. We may also dislike it in different ways. We may wonder about it. We may cherish it. Or we may just accept it in an offhand manner. But what is the ultimate purpose of this life? What if the mystery of our existence is at hand? What if its revelation actually brings us happiness and fulfilment when we come face to face with it?

What if the essence of the aim of our lives, and its joys, is as simple as this:

It is all about relationship.

Connection is everything

Everything is about making relationships. Everything is part of something else. Just a look at our own lives would reveal it to us. Then we will understand the real purpose of our lives.

Why do we do anything, ANYTHING at all, in life as humans?

It is mainly because we want to bond more and more. We make fiends to feel bonded. We get married for bonding with another person in a firm and lasting manner. We raise a family to feel even more bonded. We go out and meet people to bond well with them, not only for getting advantages out of that bonding, but also to feel more bound to the world.

We buy nice clothes and go to a hairdresser to feel more connected to our sense of aesthetics and to our own physical beauty. We eat a variety of food to feel more connected to our sense of taste and smell. We dine out to feel connected to the people we share the meals with. We buy mobile phones and computers to connect with others and the world. We read newspapers and magazines to stay connected to what is happening and what others are doing and feeling. We study and learn to connect with what others know and value.

Every thing that we do is to satisfy the need of keeping alive relationships. It is our relationship to our own body that makes it imperative that we eat and sleep. Because of our relationship to our senses, we are asked to do things to satisfy the demands that body makes. If we ignore the demands that body makes, we have to bear the resultant aches and distress. And above our mundane needs, we yearn for another relationship – a relationship to our very existence – a relationship to our purpose. And without that connection, it is vacant. Just like the blankness so many of us feel when we have no relationship even to ourselves. That is just not the way our lives are supposed to be lived.

Relationship is powerful, and yet it’s fragile and tender..

When the bonds in a relationship lose strength, we go in for a separation, divorce, disagreements, judgement, and bitterness. It never feels good to lose the bonding. Still, it possible to be in love with someone today, and totally disconnected and bitter towards him tomorrow. And this change of feelings can happen just by the flicker of an eyelid. And the eyes might be yours or theirs!

When the relationship is not there.

When the bonds are not there, we perceive problems all over. We start seeing disparities and obstacles. We begin passing judgement on others and reproaching them. We blow up, focus on and strengthen those things that we perceive as problems. When that happens, we might even turn all that negativity inwards and cause ourselves hurt and injury. We cannot feel completely happy when we have severed the bonds with even just one thing.

Connection: the Secret to Happiness

What if we choose to perceive the entire thing in reverse? When we do that we understand this simple truth: we cannot feel despondent when we are in a strong relationship. It is simply not possible!

Try to feel moody when we feel the security of our bonding to the people around us and laughing and enjoying with our whole heart. Even if we have our own fair share of difficulties in life, we would still be able to break into a laugh and enjoy and feel good when the bonds are strong. At the same time, we would be unable to enjoy things when those bonds are absent.

Bonding: Our Life

Connection is the core of everything. That’s what life is. Connection.

Everything is a mere collection of smaller parts. Everything connects together to form a greater unit; like our bodies are collections of smaller parts, organs, cells, atoms and molecules.

Our actions and choices also express the need for connection. We are designed to constantly seek ways to connect to each other and to a greater purpose.

Bonding and Religion

Some of us have opted to become a part of different religious systems to feel better related to each other. The relationship that we yearn to build could be to God. It could be to those who share the same belief system. When there is the sharing of a similar conviction, there is a stronger relationship within that group. More bestowing on each other takes place among people who feel related to each other.

Connection and Business

People start a business to feel a stronger relationship to themselves by having better mastery over their destiny. But quite often in the world of entrepreneurship, there is a greater sense of isolation especially when we start seeing other enterprises as rivals, staff as devices and customers as a source of income. With all that, the main reason for getting into the business was to establish a relationship. So why should we cause any secluding at all? Maybe in an ideal world, all enterprises worked in another way, but jointly.

Connection and Wars

Some of us even raise arguments or wars to feel some sense of ‘triumph’ or what is a heightened sense of safety and importance. But strangely, this ricochets. The minute we ‘win’ the fight, we are in fact weakening the relationship. We now require more sureness to defend ourselves from being assaulted by others. We thus end up being more unsure and frightened. We cannot take it lightly as it really happens to almost all of us in one form or another.

It may be the differences of opinion we have with people around us. It may be the wrong conclusions we reach at when we decide another person is wrong. When we want to be the only person to triumph, it will not be a victory in the true sense of the word – there would be no bonding. We can only rejoice when we succeed in unison. Then we feel the strong bond.

Despite the varied ways in which our needs are expressed, everything we do is to satisfy the yearning we have to feel and have a strong relationship.

The complete experience of relationship is only felt through our heart. We can build a relationship with anybody when we truly care for them, and feeling that association with them. If we know this, forming that needed state is not difficult, but just simple and amusing. Then we would really feel more pleasure and contentment.

Life is just like a game. We experience things and do things in a game but fundamentally, the aim of any game is to enjoy. It is not about doing things or having things. When the game finally ends, the winners are only the ones who enjoyed the game. Not the ones who had more at the end. The results and outcomes of a game we play don’t affect our true life. But if we lost all our friends to play with during a game just because we wanted to be the winner in this round, would it lead us to the real winning game?

It is easy to make out this in the background of competing in sports, but we often do not realize it in the sports and games of real life. We forget so fast that life is also a form of sports.

We have no idea when the play started and when it would come to an end, we know that it began some day in the past and it will be finished some day. When the curtain falls on the stage of the play, we can just say, “Wow, it was really good. Let’s act in it once again!”

In this play called life, the aim of the play is to ‘bond.’ We can keep bonding until we all merge to become one. It is the one way to perpetually feel bonded to our rationale – the feeling of joy and pleasure. We cannot afford to have the bonds to anything weakened or reject and decide even one thing if we are to reach the state of complete bonding.

Life is as easy as that. There is only ONE secret.

And the secret is to connect.

To become ONE.

To relish.

Industrial Design – A Brief Guide

19 Feb

Industrial design is often defined as the practical use of streams of art and science to improve the utility and appearance of a product and make it more appealing for customers. It has application both for products that are under development and those that are already in the market.

The target of industrial design is building a favourable impression of the item. The customers must see the commodity as something valuable, for which they are ready to pay the price. This value enhancement is attained by adding new features to the product to make it more useful, and by improving its appearance so that it becomes more visually appealing to consumers.

This requires an elaborate study into the purchasing habits of the consumer, which can then be considered by the designers of the product. This must be succeeded by other aspects like sketching, prototyping, and a round of testing before the item is ready for promotion. These days, there is a growing trend of using 3D software and CAD applications for making these tasks easier.

Industrial designing primarily emphasizes on the overall texture and shape of a product. Designers have to work on the usefulness, durability, and user friendliness of the product besides its looks and aspects like colour or even the sounds. In addition, a designer can also successfully decrease the costs of production by introducing more efficient designs.

Industrial design has a much larger scope than the aspects already mentioned, as it even extends to things like analysis of the market for the product, packaging and the consumers’ expected response to the designing. That is why industrial designers undergo years of extensive training before they work on a real project.

Some of the remarkable names in the field are those of Brooks Stevens, the original designer of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Raymond Loewy, who rose to fame with the Coca-Cola bottle and Jonathan Ive, who has been known for the iMac.

Methods To Get Freedom From Ants

18 Feb

Ants are one of the most troublesome organisms that invade the house and it is quite hard to completely eradicate them. However, there are a few easy procedures by which you can ensure that these creatures stay away from your home and do not lead to any trouble. Here are certain home-based solutions to ensure that the ant menace is gone for good in your residence.

The best way of removing ants is by making your house clean and dirt free. It is important to understand that ants consume all types of food products in the house and if they are not allowed access to their bits of food then they are not likely to return.

Thus, it is a good idea to mop the kitchen space and other surfaces with vinegar or bleach that is not too strong. Wash and keep your utensils in the proper place and store all the food and snacks in tightly sealed containers. This will cut off their food supply and they will not be encouraged to stay in your house.

You should also plug the places from which the ants crawl into your home. Find the route followed by them and close every opening that they use. Using readily available items like talc, chalk, salt, or boric powder stops ants from entering the house. However, use these things in a manner that ensures that they are not touched by the kids and the pets in the house.

Lastly, one of the most effective techniques for driving away the ants is by destruction of the ant nest, that is, if you can find their nesting area. Dousing the nest with cold water helps destroy all the ants inside it and it generally eliminates them for good. Finding and eliminating the queen ant and scout ants is another really successful method. But, in order to attain this you will in all probability require the assistance of a pest control firm that can give you the assistance of specialists to resolve this problem.

Are you wondering about the importance of administering pest control measures in your home? Even if you assume that nothing will compel you to move, you might, someday, be putting your house up for sale because of some reason. Real estate brokers and potential buyers alike would generally steer clear of a pest-infested dwelling, knowing full well that it is an unwise investment. For instance, termite colonies discovered along the foundation of your house are big hindrances for prospective buyers. Moreover, banks generally refuse loan applications with houses used as collaterals if they discover that the house is overriden with pests; like potential buyers, lending institutions view pest-infested houses as terrible investments. Thus, although the cost to hire a professional pest control company to eradicate pest infestations in your home may be steep, think of it a good investment for the future asking price of your home.

Do not let a colony of ants and mosquito encroach your house. Protect your family, yourself, and your property with professional pest control service.
