What Is Hypnosis And How It Can Help You

17 Apr

Hypnosis involves an artificially induced state of consciousness, attained through a completely natural method and without making use of any chemicals whatsoever. It is believed that a person who has been hypnotized reaches a comfortable state, in which he is more open to suggestions. Hypnotherapy is one of the most significant practical uses of the hypnosis process.

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic procedure in which the subject is hypnotized by the practitioner. The treatment usually aims to eradicate pessimistic thoughts from the person’s mind.

An expert in hypnosis understands human psychology well too, with a deep knowledge of the human mind. Thus, a hypnotherapist would know the real causes that might be hindering a person’s growth and eradicating such hindrances with helpful thoughts could provide a huge respite to the person.

It has been well documented that hypnotherapy is very successful against obsessions of all kinds. It is also helpful in treating stress, improving self-confidence level, and easing pain and depression. It is an excellent remedy for childhood troubles as well and can cure common issues like bed-wetting and frequent nightmares.

Hypnotherapy not only helps in personal issues but also in removing inhibitions at the workplace and therefore it helps you improve your effectiveness at work. There are countless examples of people from all walks of life who have gained from it greatly. The process will find out and replace your fears of failure with confidence and positivism. Many thriving politicians and businessmen are known to have made use of hypnotherapy to bring about a change in their individuality, which has helped them in improving their public speaking and also their relationships with others.

Self hypnosis is an integral part of hypnosis. It helps in unravelling several personal enigmas and getting rid of all the negative thoughts that have been bothering you. It is also a well known unwinding method and can be a good mental exercise if practiced on a regular basis. A hypnotic session lasting a single hour is equal to 8 short naps, hence hypnosis is also a good way to reinvigorate your cerebral batteries and feel energized.

20 Techniques Of Training The Brain On Beneficial Pondering

05 Apr

1. Start the day with cheers and smiles.

Your whole day depends on how you greet the morning. Therefore, as long as you welcome it with energy and high spirits, everything will go okay. You don’t want the rest of the day to get ruined, do you? Come on, smile! It doesn’t cost anything but is worth everything.

2. Ask for guidance.

Only God knows what we will be having on the day ahead of us. He will surely appreciate a few minutes of praying and asking for guidance from Him. Also, have faith on Him that He is more than willing to grant our requests as long as it is for our own good. With God as our guide, we don’t have any reason not to say and believe in the thought that I can do this. I can make it through this day. Nothing is impossible. After all, God is with me.

3. Plan the day ahead.

To avoid mistakes that will cause negative output on your daily activities that will later on become negative thoughts, it is better to plan your work first; after which, work your plan. Make sure today’s goals are clearly defined and absorbed by your mind. This can be done even before you get out of bed each day, just so immediate addressing issues as they arise can be avoided.

4. Keep your mind focused on important things.

Set goals and priorities for what you think and do. Visualize practicing your actions. Develop a strategy for dealing with problems. Concentrate on things that need to be taken seriously, but at the same time, take time to relax and enjoy. This way, favorable results may take place.

5. Be detached from the outcome.

They say that life is like a Ferris Wheel; sometimes, you’re on the top, and sometimes at the bottom. This means that there will be times in our lives where some things would not turn out according to what we want them to be. Don’t be annoyed if you don’t get what you desire. However, do your best in everything you do. Only, don’t get too attached on the probable results that may only cause disappointments and upsets.

6. Try new things and challenges.

See learning and changes as opportunities. There’s nothing wrong in changing attitudes and routines as long as they are for the good and improvement of who you are and what you do. Doing new things may include considering more options for a project, meeting new people from different places, asking lots of questions. Through this, the flow of thinking is directed to improvement and negative thoughts will be easily eradicated.

7. Balance your desires.

We live in a place of opposites and duality – gain and loss, pleasure and pain, light and dark, male and female, love and hate. This is how the cycle of life goes. We can never have all the good things in life at the same time. In love, there will always be someone who gets hurt. In wealth, there will always be people who will not be fortunate enough. Measure and moderation is the primary key.

8. Be realistic.

Make sure that what you want is something possible. Hoping for something to happen which would never really materialize in real life will only bring you disappointment. For instance, you wish to lose weight. Therefore, you have to set a goal and act on appropriate measures within a period of time to achieve what you wish. Hey, No one can get slimmer overnight.

9. Keep track of your mental and physical health.

This way, you will know how far you can keep believing. Know yourself. There is no other person in the world who can tell who you really are. Know your passions, favorites, and principles. Spend some quality time by yourself – reading, listening to music, day dreaming, and the likes. If you know yourself completely, you will be aware of how far can you go physically, mentally, and emotionally.

10. Love yourself.

Before you expect for other people to love and adore you, it is always you who needs to love yourself first. Make a positive commitment to yourself, to learning, work, family, friends, nature, and other worthwhile causes. Praise yourself as much as you praise others once in a while. When you start feeling confident about yourself, positive thoughts will naturally flow to your mind.

11. Laugh.

Enjoy. Have fun. Looking at the brighter side of life starts with entertainment and pleasure. Laughter is the best medicine, so they say. Whether your illness is physical or emotional, a few laughs and giggles can help you throw away heavy baggage such as anxiety, disappointment, or nervousness.

12. Keep a list of your goals and actions.

Familiarize yourself with things you want to accomplish and with the ways you must undertake to complete them. By the time you are certain of what you want to do and carry out in your life, a stronger mind and will power will exist within you.

13. Associate with positive people.

In every classroom, work place, or simply anywhere you go where there are groups of people, look for optimistic ones. There are lots of them, I’m sure. Associate with them, hang-out, discuss matters. They can help you build self-confidence and self-esteem.

14. Make it a habit to ask questions.

This is not equal to dumbness and ignorance; rather, it is associated with seeking more information and understanding matters clearly. With more knowledge, there is also more power.

15. Be open.

We have to accept the fact that we don’t know everything. And that we are continuously learning in every place we go, with every people we meet as everyday passes. We should not close our minds to new ideas and information that comes our way. Our mind is so spacious that it is impossible to fill it up completely. Thus, we should accept worthy things that may help us become better and brighter persons.

16. Have trust in other people.

Although it may seem difficult and risky to give trust to just any people, when you believe in them or confident on what they are doing for you, doubts and negative judgments on them will be unnecessary. Also, it will bring harmonious relationships between you and your colleagues.

17. Forgive and forget.

Mistakes and failures are the root causes of negative thinking. If we somehow learn to let go of all the pain, agony, and fear we try to keep inside our hearts and minds, then there will be nothing more to block our clear thoughts from being expressed. Forgive yourself for committing mistakes and forget these mistakes.

18. Learn from experiences.

Learning inside the classroom is different from learning outside it. In school, one learns the lesson first before taking an exam; while in real life, one takes the test first before learning the lesson. This test in the real life is our experiences. If we failed in that test, i.e. the experience is not so good, we study the situation and learn the lesson. From here, we can avoid committing the same mistake twice.

19. Count your blessings.

Focus on what you have rather than what you don’t have. Absence of our desires will only bring discontentment and disappointment that will only waste our time. Instead, be thankful and appreciative with all the blessings we receive.

20. Kiss your worries goodbye.

At the end of everyday, before going to sleep, there is no need to keep bad experiences and unhappy moments that had happened in the day within you. Let them go, throw them out of the window and kiss them goodbye. Dream sweetly. As a new day unfolds, new hope arises. Keep believing. Always have faith.

Training For a Career in Microsoft MCSA-MCSE – Options

28 Mar

As you’re in the process of finding out about Microsoft MCSE’s, the chances are you’re in one of these categories: You might be wondering about a dynamic move to the field of computers, and research demonstrates there’s a great many opportunities for certified networking professionals. Or you’re currently an IT professional – and you’d like to consolidate your skill-set with a qualification such as MCSE.

As you do your searches, you’ll come across training companies that short-change you by not providing the latest Microsoft version. Don’t use such training providers as you will face problems with the present exams. If you’ve been taught the wrong version, it will make it very difficult to pass.

Don’t rush into buying a course for MCSE without the right advice. Set your sights on finding a company who will make sure that you’re on a well matched program for meeting your goals.

Throw out the typical salesman who pushes one particular program without performing a ‘fact-find’ to gain understanding of your current abilities and also your level of experience. Ensure that they have a wide-enough range of products so they’re actually equipped to give you a program that suits you..

Sometimes, the level to start at for a student experienced in some areas is often massively different to someone without.

Where this will be your initial attempt at IT study then you might also want to start out with user-skills and software training first.

Discovering job security these days is problematic. Companies often drop us from the workplace with very little notice – as and when it suits them.

Now, we only experience security through a rapidly rising marketplace, driven by a lack of trained workers. This shortage creates the correct conditions for a secure marketplace – a more attractive situation all round.

Taking the computer market as an example, the 2006 e-Skills investigation showed major skills shortages in the UK of around 26 percent. Therefore, for each 4 job positions existing around the computer industry, employers can only source enough qualified individuals for three of the four.

This troubling idea highlights an urgent requirement for more properly certified IT professionals around the UK.

Actually, retraining in Information Technology as you progress through the next few years is very likely the best career choice you could ever make.

It’s important to understand: a actual training program or a certification is not the ultimate goal; a job you’re training for is. Far too many training organisations put too much weight in the certificate itself.

You could be training for only a year and end up doing the actual job for 10-20 years. Ensure you avoid the fatal error of opting for what may seem to be a program of interest to you and then put 10-20 years into a job you don’t like!

It’s a good idea to understand the exact expectations industry will have. Which precise accreditations you’ll be required to have and how you’ll build your experience level. It’s also worth spending time setting guidelines as to how far you wish to progress your career as it will force you to choose a particular set of accreditations.

Seek out help from an experienced professional that understands the sector you wish to join, and who can offer ‘A day in the life of’ understanding of what duties you’ll be performing day-to-day. It’d be sensible to discover if this is the right course of action for you long before the training program is started. After all, what is the reason in starting your training only to realise you’ve made a huge mistake.

Student support is absolutely essential – ensure you track down something that includes 24×7 access, as anything else will annoy you and definitely put a damper on the speed you move through things.

Beware of institutions who use call-centres ‘out-of-hours’ – with the call-back coming in during office hours. It’s not a lot of help when you’ve got study issues and want support there and then.

If you look properly, you’ll find the top providers who recommend and use online direct access support all the time – at any time of day or night.

If you opt for less than support round-the-clock, you’ll regret it. You might not want to use the service during late nights, but consider weekends, early mornings or late evenings.

How To Get The Career You Want Using Archetype Analysis

26 Mar

Would you consistently agree with any of the following statements?

I don’t feel I get enough recognition at work

I don’t enjoy the prospect of going to work

I’m unsure as to the best job that suits my skills

* I feel my learning-curve at work has flattened out

* I have more energy and talents than my job needs

If I suddenly hit the jackpot I’d quit my job tomorrow

I need to find a work/life balance

There’s a difference between agreeing to any of these statements occasionally and agreeing to them consistently. However, if you do find yourself saying yes to some of those questions perhaps it’s time to take a look at what you’re doing with your career and your life. You spend around eight hours of each and every working day at work; ideally you should be getting the most out of those hours that you possibly can.

Everyone – even people who believe they are doing exactly the job they want to do – have negative feelings about their job sometimes. Besides, the increasingly discussed matter of ‘work/life balance’ is in effect an acknowledgement that even people who really love their jobs are only too aware of the danger of devoting too little time to personal life and family life, though exactly what ‘too little’ means here will itself be a highly personal matter.

From experience of helping people with their careers for twenty years I believe that two-thirds of people are in the wrong jobs, chasing the wrong career or are not enjoying their working life. As high as this statistic is, it shouldn’t surprise any of us when we reflect on the challenge of planning and following our own career plans.

Why is it so difficult? One of the major problems is that we don’t know about a lot of the options open to us or have experience of other paths we could take.

This problem can be addressed by spending time getting to know the industry or by researching the potential options; something which can cause new entrants to an industry or sector particular problems.

Secondly, we all have an on-going limitation: we don’t know what we can/can’t be.

Put another way, we don’t know what we’re really good at or what we’d like to do and so we guess. We use assumptions and past experience to base what we should do for the future. This leads to us ‘going with the flow’ and getting on with whatever job we end up with.

This is a problem, yes, but it also identifies an opportunity which, if handled correctly, we can use to constantly develop ourselves and become better at what we do. After all, if we don’t know what we can be, we also don’t know what we can’t be. So why not find out?

In fact, maybe we shouldn’t just be getting on with the job. Maybe we should be doing the job we really want to do. Maybe we shouldn’t accept compromise.

How do we do that?

An important part of the solution is to be determined. Don’t accept failure in our working life and be prepared to search for other possibilities if we find ourselves challenged or frustrated.

The biggest step of all though is to know more about ourselves. This is where the powerful personal development tool, Archetype Analysis, can help.

Undertaking Archetype Analysis is a practice which helps to avoid compromises in your life and particularly in your working life. You know the type of compromises that seem even bigger when you wake up on a cold winter Monday morning and the car won’t start.

The word ‘archetype’ is used to describe a pattern or mould from which copies are made. However, thanks to a Swiss psychologist (Carl Jung) the word now means something very different. Jung believes an archetype was a belief or attitude that isn’t developed but inherited. In other words, they’re inherited attitudes which are both supportive and restrictive at the same time.

The fascinating and powerful intervention of Archetype Analysis, developed during the past thirty years by the American personal development specialist Dr Carol Pearson based on Jung’s work, is an inspired, proven and successful way of in effect saying to people: you are more hidebound by your inherited attitudes, approaches and ideas than you ever imagined; indeed, you may not even be fully aware of what your inherited attitudes, approaches and ideas really are. By understanding what they are and how they restrict you, you can get fully in touch with yourself and liberate yourself from the negative sides of your inherited hidebound ’story’: that is, your ‘version’ of yourself that you have – possibly inadvertently – brought to every aspect of your life so far.

How To Work And Achieve Distance Learning Education All Together

02 Mar

Consider the perks of a distance learning education: keep working and getting paid, forget a class attendance schedule, and have the flexibility of studying whenever convenient. In fact, students striving for an online degree seem to have the best of both worlds.

However, amidst these perks, distance learning requires a lot of discipline and motivation from students. When we are juggling between a job and studies, it is very easy to lose track of our priorities and fail to keep up to mark. Moreover, distance learning students do not have the advantage of getting their learning drive renewed whenever they interact with lecturers or peers in classes.

So, how can a distance learner overcome the challenges of shuffling work, school, and family? Creating and sticking to a schedule is the only way to survive and succeed. The trick is to apportion a 24 hour day to include enough time for the family, work, and school responsibilities. Thus, it is very important to let the family in on the plan, and when you should not be disturbed. Again, do not give into the temptation to deviate from the plan.

Another important aspect of a distance learning education is to stay in touch with classmates and instructors through email, instant messenger, college discussion boards or Internet calling. Discuss projects and assignments with peers who can help you stay focused by holding you accountable, and providing motivation and encouragement whenever needed.

Also, do not forget to give yourself a pat on the back once in a while. Set up a calendar of specific goals. When the milestone is reached, reward yourself. Thus, it will be a source of encouragement and help in facing the inevitable hurdles presented by a distance learning education. In essence, it is nice to see and acknowledge personal progress.

Finally, make sure to have a quiet, undisturbed place to study. It is extremely easy to be distracted by the television, a ringing phone, or normal family activities in the household. If necessary, lock yourself in a quiet room equipped with a comfortable chair, a good desk or table, and ample space to create a productive learning environment.

In short, successful completion of a distance learning education is totally dependent on good study habits and the determination of the individual to reach the pre-determined goal. Like any degree program, it takes old fashioned hard work, discipline, and the intrinsic motivation to succeed.

Considering Solar PV Training In The UK

21 Feb

It is by using natural resources such as tidal or wind energy – collectively known as ‘Green Energy’ – that we could meet our daily energy needs. They’re all considered naturally able to replenish – and thereby ‘Green’. It is easy to think that we may be travelling back in time when we think of items such as wind power and windmills. Generally, this is the result of using up to date ideas, specifically those that are planet friendly and eco-efficient.

The home environment, for example, encompasses a range of energy ideas – including Solar Thermal and Solar Water Heating solutions. Equally there is electricity that is generated through roof-installed panels. Biomass Energy is the next phase, and this involves Fuel, Pellets, Stoves and Boilers burning Wood. What shouldn’t be forgotten is the heat stored in the ground from the Sun – often simply referred to as Ground Source Heat Pumps. Not all ‘Green Energy’ is new – by considering Wind Power and Hydropower we are looking at some of the oldest forms of energy production.

Thermal Energy Systems: By using different technologies, Solar Energy is effectively made up of two types of solar panels. Making hot water from solar energy is the first stage – and is known as Solar Water Heating Collection. Then we have the work of the Photovoltaic Heat Collectors, often called Solar Electrical Panels – which transform solar radiation into electricity. Across the board, Solar Panels should be mounted on a south facing roof, at an angle of 30 degrees away from horizontal – and to some extent away from blocking trees, surrounding buildings and chimneys.

Within this discipline, Solar Water Power is often regarded as the most popular form of Solar Energy within the UK. These systems are very efficient – and can deliver 50 percent of a household’s hot water requirement annually. The typical cost for installation ranges from 500-1500 pounds for a DIY system, all the way through to 2-5k for a professional fit.

Biomass Energy Systems – This is a general term for all forms of plant and animal material e.g. wood, straw, poultry litter and ‘energy crops’. It is by using these materials in new ways to create energy that makes it so exciting. It is a useful point to make that the UK is one of the major producers of Biomass fuels within Europe. It is the minimal C02 produced, alongside the actual energy production, that makes this attractive to the markets. Having a tree planted in place of another (that is felled for energy production) helps overall.

A process called Short Rotation Coppice (SRC), utilising trees such as Willow and Poplar, is used to meet the demands of such ‘Energy Crops’. Dry matter is also very sought after – and perennial grasses are a good source of this. Within this process also sits the lesser known Agricultural and Municipal Wastes. Agricultural Waste is commonly formed as a by-product of traditional agricultural work. Of equal importance is Municipal Waste, which comes from recycyled wood and food.

Geo-Thermal Energy: Basically this is the warming of the Earth from the Sun – and is often used in the manufacture of warm water and electricity. By using the ground source temperature of approximately 12 degrees, we can either heat or cool buildings within the UK. With four units replaced for every one unit of energy used, these heat pumps are very effective. Utilising the energy generated from wind turbines and solar electrical panels alongside heat source pumps, can make them alomst 100 percent renewable.

Wind Energy: The use of wind as a source of energy has been going on for thousands of years, especially in milling grain and pumping water. However, in more recent times there’s been the option to recover the energy for its own sake – and deliver this either to a home unit or to the local power grid. The UK is considered as one of the best sources of wind generation within Europe. It is interesting to note that whilst we can produce 10 percent of our entire power requirement from wind power, at present we only produce 1 percent. Instead of producing electricity at a rate of 2-10p per kWh, we could be generating at 2p per kWh. From this, the estimation of the cost recovery period is around 6-9 months overall.

Within the UK, Hydropower suits the energy generation model. Just like a thousand years ago, we are utilising the energy from water. Interestingly enough, this type of energy production meets around 2 percent of the UK electrical total demand.

By using a turbine, a Hydropower system can transfer the kinetic energy of moving water into another form. By using a dam or a natural river drop, these turbines do not require water storage. ‘Micro-Hydro’ however, uses the dam and sluice systems that have been made redundant by the larger national distributions. Although a lesser known form of electricity output, this process could supply 200mW of UK demand. A micro-hydro system like this would be expected to cost between 200 and 3,000 pounds per kW of the energy.

‘Green Energy’ is growing – mainly due to the demands of the Western World. That said, the UK is well placed – especially in the domestic sector – to take full advantage of the items above.

Once again, it is the Electrician and Plumbing trades that are set to capitalise on the domestic installation process. Grants and financial aid is also set to increase within the EEC and the UK – as ‘Green Energy’ gets ever higher status. As a new industry, there are a range of new certificates to gain. To cover both ends, you could consider electrical or plumbing training along with green systems.

Hypnosis – What It Is And What It Is Not

04 Feb

Hypnosis and its subset, hypnotherapy, have always been mired in misconceptions. Some regard them to be black magic whereas others reject them as pseudo science. Provided below are some general beliefs associated with hypnosis, and the real facts behind them.

Hypnosis has no link with any sort of mystical arts. Psychology and the other sciences have a crucial role to play in the hypnotic method, and it is very easy to imbibe and practice. The genuineness of hypnosis is suspected even by individuals who have seen it working on subjects. They argue that those who can be hypnotized are mentally not strong enough. But that is simply not the truth. Even people with strong will power can fall under the spell of a specialist hypnosis practitioner.

Another myth is that hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness, which again is a big misconception. A hypnotized individual is totally conscious of his environment. That person is just in a relaxed state where the attention spans are very high and the person can receive new inputs easily.

Some researchers have concluded that hypnosis succeeds on just 5% of the human population, and this is another prevalent myth. Although, the research has some element of truth to it, what makes it hollow is the fact that the scientists used the same hypnosis procedure for everyone. People differ in their characters and personalities, and hence there have to be different hypnosis techniques to suit the temperaments of different individuals.

People also tend to equate hypnosis with meditation. However, interaction between the subject and the practitioner is paramount in hypnosis, while meditation is like an appointment with the self without any external interaction involved. Similarly, a period of trance is also sometimes confused with hypnosis, which is not true. Trance is again a mental state sans any communication, on the other hand communication forms the very foundation of the hypnosis method.

Another misconception is that physical and behavioural alterations in an individual are not possible through hypnosis training or hypnotherapy. Hypnosis certainly cannot transform the body in unnatural ways. However, it can propel the body to a healthy shape through behavioural transformations like eating less, and giving up smoking and other addictions by ensuring a good amount of of inspiration in a person.

If an individual believes in all the misconceptions that exist regarding hypnotherapy and doesn’t venture to participate in a hypnotic session, then he will himself block his way to a happier and healthier life.

Find out more about Hypnosis Course or Hypnotherapy Course and discover its benefits to your profession.
